Chevy pro staffers to make
Classic appearances
Tommy Biffle, Denny Brauer, Jimmy Houston, Tom Mann, Jr., Larry
Nixon and Kim Stricker will meet fans, sign autographs
July 24, 2001 - The
Chevy Truck Pro Staff, one of bass fishing's most illustrious
groups, will storm the 31st annual BASS masters Classic in New
Orleans August 2-4, giving fishing fans a chance to meet their
favorite stars up close and personally.
While Chevy's David Fritts and Kevin VanDam
will be competing for the biggest title in professional fishing,
Classic fans will have ample opportunity to meet, get autographs
and solicit fishing and towing tips from some of the sport's
biggest names at the Classic Outdoor Show. The show will be held
at the Ernest Morial Convention Center.
Chevy Trucks pro staff members Tommy Biffle,
Denny Brauer, Jimmy Houston, Tom Mann, Jr., Larry Nixon and Kim
Stricker will be available at the Chevy Truck display, where
they will be autographing their pro cards, posing for photos
and answering questions.
Biffle's schedule is Thursday (August 2)
from 10 a.m. to noon; Friday (August 3) from 1 to 3 p.m.; and
Saturday (August 4) from 6 to 8 p.m. Brauer will be in the Chevy
display area on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.; Friday from 10 a.m.
to noon; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Look for Houston
on Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m.; Friday from 10 a.m. to noon; and
Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. Mann will be on hand Thursday from
8 to 10 p.m.; Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.; and Saturday from noon
to 2 p.m. Nixon can be met on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.; Friday
from 1 to 3 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. And Stricker
will share his tips Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m.; Friday from 8
to 10 p.m.; and Saturday from 8 to 10 p.m.
In addition to sharing their fishing tips,
fishing fans will have an opportunity to glean valuable towing
tips from the Chevy pros. These guys pull a bass boat behind
their Chevy vehicles more than 50,000 miles a year, which is
more than most anglers will accrue in their lifetimes. During
the tournament season, the Chevy pros travel over all types of
terrain from mountains to deserts, encountering all forms of
weather hazards.
Chevy Truck is a longtime sponsor of the
BASS Masters Classic.
