      New youth fishing club forming
      in Topeka
July 13, 2007 - Topeka Angler Chad Gray
plans to take bass fishing to youth in the Topeka area. He is
in the process of starting a new youth BASS club in Topeka. "We
are being sponsored by the Flint Hills Bass Club and are in the
process of recruiting our initial membership. BASS requires that
we acquire six youth members before submitting our application
      and becoming sanctioned.," Gray said.

The club will be for educating and giving youth a chance to be
more involved and be educated about what fishing is all about.
The club will also be involved in sponsoring Casting Kids events,
      conservation projects and youth tournaments.
Youth under the age of 9 will be encouraged to
just fish and have fun while the older group of youth will be
taught the different techniques that are needed to excel at bass
fishing. They will also involve all the youth in conservation
projects so they are aware of the work and actions of others
that have provided them the opportunity to still fish.
If you or anyone you know is interested, you can
      email Gray.
