      54th Annual Kansas Sports, Boat
      & Travel Show Set for February 21-24, 2008

      DENVER, CO. January 21, 2008-- Visitors
      to the 54th Annual Kansas Sports, Boat & Travel Show can
      discover many adventure vacation ideas when the show opens at
      the Kansas Coliseum in Wichita on Thursday, February 21 through
      Sunday, February 24, 2008. 
      Just in time for vacation planning, the 2008 Show
      features the newest fishing and ski boats, campers and RVs, as
      well as fishing tackle and supplies. New this year will be the
      Hall of States, where attendees will find unique vacation packages
      displayed from various states. The Show will also have a full
      slate of seminars conducted by professionals in fishing, cat
      fishing, casting, and retriever dog training. Timber Tina's World
      Champion Lumberjills will entertain attendees with their unique
      exhibitions of timber sports such as underhand chopping, axe-throwing,
      and log rolling. 
      Family activities include the Make-A-Wish Foundation's
      Trout Fishing Pond where kids can catch their first trout of
      the season, and an automatic target system furnished by the Kansas
      Department of Wildlife and Parks that safely demonstrates how
      to shoot responsibly while hunting. Retriever dog training seminars
      will be presented by Lonnie Taylor of Taylor Made Retrievers. 
      Steve Porter's Trophy Whitetail, a traveling live
      trophy whitetail deer show returns for an encore appearance.
      Porter raises deer on his farm in Minnesota and this live exhibit
      includes bucks scoring up to 185 points on the Boone and Crocket
      scale. 
      For fishermen, catfish pro Denny Halgren returns
      from Illinois to talk about his secrets for championship fishing,
      and Phillip Hain demonstrates casting techniques and correct
      use of new bait products on his Travelin' Fish Tank glass aquarium.
      Local guide Mike Cook will speak on techniques, presentation
      and location for fishing Wichita 's surrounding reservoirs. 
      The Show will open Thursday, February 21 from 3
      until 9 p.m., Friday, February 22 from Noon until 9 p.m.; Saturday,
      February 23 from 10 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, February
      24 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Adult admission is $8 at the door.
