      Fishing Information Night set
for Thursday, March 13 in Wichita
March 4, 2008 - Tom Swan, Regional Fisheries
      - Want to know where the really big fish are? Do you have that
burning question about your favorite lake? Maybe even a question
about a fishing regulation that doesn't make sense. Well the
place for you to be is the "Fishing Information Night"
at the Great Plains Nature Center Auditorium, 6232 E. 29th Street
North, Wichita, KS, Thursday March 13, 2008 from 6:30-8:30 pm.
Local KDWP Fisheries Biologists: Jon Stein (Cheney-Marion
District), Jessica Mounts (Harvey-Sedgwick-Sumner Cos.) and Craig
Johnson (El Dorado-Council Grove District) will be presenting
an overview of area Reservoir fisheries and smaller lakes of
local interest. To address questions regarding fisheries farther
from home, Tom Swan, Regional Fisheries Supervisor, and fisheries
biologists Leonard Jirak and Carson Cox will also be in attendance.
With the recent discovery of zebra mussels at Cheney Reservoir
we will discuss Aquatic Nuisance Species as well.
Hope to see you there with all those fish questions.
For more information please contact the Wichita
      Regional Office at 316-683-8069.
