Marty Hole Takes first place
at El Dorado in ABA Division 66
  April
5, 2009 - Marty Hole from Derby, KS is one step closer to
the ABA National Championship with a 1st place win and
$365 in the American Fishing Tour bass tournament held on El
Dorado Lake this past weekend. Marty's 2 bass limit weighed
in at 5.87 pounds. Second place went to Ryan Tauer with a weight
of 3.71 pounds, and third place was Gale Brown with a weight
of 3.19 pounds. Big bass and $70 was awarded to Marty Hole for
catching a 4.77 pound large mouth.
These anglers are acquiring valuable points to
insure their berth in division's two-day champion and the American
Fishing Tour National Championship that will be held this fall.
Their points are also being used to determine the divisional
angler of the year. The top angler by points earned in this division
will represent the division in the Angler of the Year final round.
The top five anglers were:

Conditions: Nothing about Sunday's tournament
was typical for an April day, but it is Kansas. The temperature
at take off was in the upper 30's, a little snow, and the wind
was 20-40 out of the north. Water temperatures ranged from 45
to 53.
Winning Strategy: Marty caught his big
fish on a spinner bait.
Next Divisional Tournament: Division 66's
next tournament will be April 26th on El Dorado Lake at Bluestem
#1.
