      Gale  Brown Takes  first place at El Dorado 
       August 16, 2009 - From  Division 66 in central Kansas August 16, 2009 Gale Brown is one step  closer to the ABA  National Championship with  a 1st  place win and $390 in the American Fishing Tour bass tournament held  on El Dorado Lake this past weekend.  Gale’s 4 bass limit weighed  in at 8.25 pounds.  Second place went to Larry Gawith with a weight  of 7.66 pounds, and third place was Jim Vaught with a weight of 4.00  pounds.  Big bass and $75 was awarded to Gale Brown for catching a  3.18 pound large  mouth. 
       These  anglers are acquiring valuable points to insure their birth in  division’s two-day champion and the American Fishing Tour National  Championship that will be held this fall.  Their points are also  being used to determine the divisional angler of the year. The top  angler by points earned in this division will represent the division  in the Angler of the Year final round.

       Conditions: Water clarity on the main lake is still less than a foot.  Wind was  5-15 and the bite was tough.  
       Winning  Strategy: Gale  caught his fish on a spinner bait, plastics, and a jig. 
       Next  Divisional Tournament: Division 66’s next tournament will be September 12 and 13, 2009 on  El Dorado Lake at Bluestem #1.
