Step 1 - Material Needed - M-F Worm Plastic, Worm Mold, Plastic Color and Worm Oil. M-F Plastic Color Powder and Poly Glitter may be used to create dramatic effects and customize your baits.
Equipment: Hot plate, metal spatula and small aluminum pan with pouring spout, purchased from M-F catalog. Breathing apparatus, gloves, long sleeve shirt, long pants, and adequate ventilation is highly recommended. Microwave and pyrex measuring cup may also be used for heating plastic.

Step 2 - Shake Plastic well and pour into pouring pan (1 oz will make approximately six - 6 inch worms). Excessive filling of pan will make pouring difficult. Heat slowly until liquid thickens and turns clear (approximately 350 degree F.). Stir frequently. Continue heating until liquid reaches pouring consistency which will be clear and thin about like white syrup. Avoid oveheating which will scorch the plastic. To very the toughness of the plastic, M-F Plastic Hardener or M-F Plastic Softener may be added. Complete directions are on the label.

Step 3 - Shake color well and add to obtain desired shade. Stir well until evenly mixed. Excessive stirring may cause bubbles that will cook out in one minute or less. One ounce M-F Color is sufficient to color one gallon of M-F Plastic. For best results when using plastic color powders and fluorescent colors, add to Liquid Plastic prior to heating or before reaching 350 degrees F.. Powder color is very strong and very little is needed to color plastics. Liquid colors and powder colors may be mixed to obtain your own desired color. M-F Glitter may also be added at this point.
Step 4 - Pour Worms - Pour plastic into mold. Fill cavity full until it almost crowns over. Wipe plastic from lip of pan before reheating to prevent contact wit burners which causes excessive smoking. When making two-color worms, the second color should be poured as quickly as possible as to assure a good bond to the first. Old worms and any unused M-F plastic may be remelted, colored and used again.

Step 5 - REMOVE FROM MOLD - Allow bait to cool in mold for three to five minutes. Remove and lay on formica, glass or steel counter top straight as possible to maintain original shape or can be placed in a shallow pan of water to finish cooling . If placed in water, do not leave in the water to long or the bait will soak up water and discolor, allow to dry before bagging. Do not to get water in your molds, unused plastic or hot plastic.

Step 6 - Worm Oil - Application of M-F Worm Oil to finished worms will prevent worms from clinging to each other. You can also add M-F Worm Salt instead of M-F Worm Oil. The Anise scent is a proven fish attractants.
