Central - See a map of the area -

Arcadia: January 23. Elevation is normal, water 44. Blue catfish fair on shad at 20 ft. near the north central point in the morning. Crappie fair to good on minnows and jigs at 5-6 ft. around crappie docks on south side. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits at 20-25 ft. near the dam in the morning. All other fishing is fair. Report submitted by Linnie Mason.

Draper: September 25. Boating closed due to low water conditions. All fishing slow. Report submitted by Tony Woodruff, game warden stationed in Cleveland County.

Hefner: November 22. Elevation below normal and rising, water 52-56 and murky. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits at 6-15 ft. in the weeds. Smallmouth bass fair on crankbaits and jigs at 6-20 ft. in rocky areas. White bass good on good on grubs and Gay Blades at 2-10 ft. along rocky shorelines. Striped bass hybrids fair on grubs and Gay Blades at 6-10 ft. along rocky shorelines. Channel catfish good on cut bait and punchbait at 5-25 ft. in the water inlet and the dam. Blue catfish good on cut bait and punchbait at 5-20 ft. in the water inlet and the dam. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 8-15 ft. at the dam. Walleye good on jerk baits at 4-8 ft. along rocky points and the dam. Report submitted by Lucky Lure Tackle.

Thunderbird:September 25. Elevation 5 ft. below normal, water clear. All fishing slow. Report submitted by Tony Woodruff, game warden stationed in Cleveland County.

Wes Watkins: August 15. Elevation 5 ft. below normal, water 88 and clear. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits at 12-15 ft. in late evening. White bass fair to good trolling the main lake. Crappie fair on minnows around deep structure early morning. Report submitted by Mike France, game warden stationed in Pottawatomie County.

Eucha: February 6. Elevation slightly above normal, water 45 and clear. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 14-16 ft. around brush and structure. Largemouth bass fair on plastic baits. Report submitted by Dwight Moore, City of Tulsa.

Ft. Gibson: February 6. Elevation 1 ft. above, water 45 and stained. Largemouth bass good on crankbaits at 5-15 ft. around structure. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 15-25 ft. Catfish fair on shad and little smokies at 10-20 ft. White bass slow. Report submitted by Rick Stafford of Wagoner.

Greenleaf: February 6. Elevation normal, water clear. Largemouth bass good on spinnerbaits and crankbaits along shorelines, creek channels and brush structure. Crappie good on minnows and jigs in green, yellow and red around fishing docks and brush structure. Report submitted by Lark Wilson, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.

Hudson: February 7. Elevation normal. Largemouth bass good on crankbaits and plastic lures. Crappie good on minnows and jigs around brush pile areas. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by Steve Loveland, game warden stationed in Rogers and Mayes counties.

Hulah: No report submitted this week.

Kaw: February 6. Elevation normal, water 44 and clear. Crappie good on 2 in. black and green jigs and minnows at 20 - 25 ft. around brush piles that have been placed close to natural structure such as drop-offs and riprap from the upper Arkansas river to the dam. Blue catfish fair on juglines using cut gizzard shad at 5 - 30 ft. in the upper portion of the lake in river channels. Trotlines using cut gizzard shad are also effective. Fishing below the dam is slow. Report submitted by Larry Green, game warden stationed in Osage County.

Keystone: January 17. Elevation normal, water murky. Crappie being caught on minnows, tube jigs and hair jigs at 10-15 ft. and off the docks. Catfish being caught on but bait, gold fish large shiners and worms. Walleye and saugeye being caught on shiners in the lake. Report submitted by Woody’s Bait and Tackle II.

Lower Illinois: February 6. Elevation normal, water 41 and clear. White bass fair on minnows at 1-2 ft. Striped bass and striped bass hybrids fair on jigs 3-4 ft. Channel catfish good on cut bait on bottom all along the river. Trout good fly-fishing the surface, on rooster tails at 1-2 ft. and on Power Bait on bottom from the dam to Gore Landing. Oologah: February 5. Elevation 1/2 ft. below normal, water 50 and clear. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 12-18 ft. around brush piles. Blue catfish fair on juglines baited with shad at 25 ft. near the river channel. Report submitted by Brek Henry, game warden stationed in Rogers County.

Pawhuska: January 30. Elevation below normal, water 40 and clear. Trout good on Power Bait. Report submitted by David Clay, game warden stationed in Osage County.

Skiatook: February 6. Elevation 13 1/4 ft. below normal, water clear. Crappie fair on minnows at 10-15 ft. around brush piles. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by Paul Welch, game warden stationed in Osage County.

Sooner: February 7. White bass and striped bass hybrids good on slabs and live shad at 18 ft. on the warm water side of the lake, fair at the dam when pumping water into the lake and slow in the discharge. Report submitted by Doug Gottschalk, game warden stationed in Noble County.


Spavinaw: February 6. Elevation slightly above normal, water 46 and dingy. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around the dam area. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits. Report submitted by Dwight Moore, City of Tulsa.

Tenkiller: February 6. Elevation 1/8 ft. above normal, water 50 and clear. All fishing slow. Report by Monte Brooks, Cookson Village Resort

Webbers Falls:February 6. Elevation normal, water murky. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits, crankbaits and jig-and-worm in creek channels and brush structure. Catfish good on fresh cut bait on bottom and the mudflats. Crappie good on minnows and jigs in black and purple under bridges. Report submitted by Lark Wilson, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.

Canton: February 3. Elevation 11 ft. below normal and clear. Channel catfish good on cut bait and stinkbait near river channels. Crappie good on minnows and jigs near brush along the dam and Canadian River area. Report submitted by Mark Walker, game warden stationed in Blaine County.

Ft. Supply: February 6. Elevation normal. Crappie fair on spinnerbaits and jigs at the gate tower. Report submitted by Mark Reichenberger, game warden stationed in Woodward County.

Great Salt Plains: The fishery has not recovered from 2011 kill.

Lake of the Arbuckles: February 4. Elevation 3 1/2 ft. below normal, water 49 and stained. Largemouth bass being caught on jerk baits, Alabama rigs, jigs and crankbaits. Crappie being caught on small chartreuse jigs around deep brushpiles and by docks in early morning. White bass being caught on spoons and wiggletail grubs along creek channels. Blue River: February 6. Largemouth, Smallmouth and Spotted bass good on black jigs, jig-and-pig, black #11, and black and blue flake in deeper water. Catfish good on juglines baited with cut bait. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs in deeper water around structure. Report submitted by Dru Polk, game warden stationed in McCurtain County.

Broken Bow: January 29. Largemouth, Smallmouth and Spotted bass good on black jigs, jig-and-pig, black #11, and black and blue flake in deeper water. Catfish good on juglines baited with cut bait. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs in deeper water around structure. Report submitted by Dru Polk, game warden stationed in McCurtain County.

Eufaula: February 5. Elevation 1 ft. above normal, water clear. Largemouth bass slow. White bass slow. Blue catfish fair on fresh shad on the flats. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 8-20 ft. around boat docks with brush, around standing timber and rocky areas. Report submitted by Ed Rodebush, game warden stationed in McIntosh County.

Hugo: January 29. Elevation normal, water 51.Crappie fair on minnows. Catfish fair on cutbait. Crappie good on jigs below the dam. Report submitted by Jay Harvey, game warden stationed in Choctaw and Bryan counties.

Konawa: February 4. Elevation normal, water 45 and clear. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits and plastic worms at 5-8 ft. around points and road beds. White bass and striped bass hybrids fair on minnows and jigs at 15 ft. in the discharge canal. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by Daryl Howser, game warden stationed in Seminole County.

Lower Mountain Fork River: No report submitted this week.

McGee Creek: February 5. Elevation 3 3/4 ft. above normal, water 48 and murky. Largemouth bass fair on soft plastic lures and jig-and-pigs at 6 - 20 ft. Crappie fair at 10 - 20 ft. around cedar brush just off of main creek channels, Channel catfish fair to good on liver and cut bait in upper creek channels where fresh water is coming in. Report submitted by Larry Luman, game warden stationed in Atoka County.

Pine Creek: February 5. Elevation below normal and murky. Bass and Crappie good on spoons in deepest water. Catfish fair on cut shad. Report submitted by Mark Hannah, game warden stationed in McCurtain County.

Robert S. Kerr: January 31. Elevation normal, water 45 and murky. Catfish fair on shad and cut bait in main river channels. Crappie fair on minnows at 10 – 12 ft. around submerged brush piles by Little Sans Bois Creek. Report Submitted by Leland Sockey, game warden stationed in Haskell County.

Sardis Lake:

February 5. Elevation 1/4 ft. above normal. Largemouth bass good on swim baits, spinnerbaits and crankbaits at shallow to middle depths. Channel and blue catfish good on cut bait and dead minnows. Crappie good on minnows and jigs at 10-12 ft. Walleye good trolling at 12-15 ft. Report submitted by Dane Polk, game warden stationed in Pushmataha County.

Texoma: February 5. Elevation normal, water 52 and clear to the south and murky to the north. Largemouth and smallmouth bass fair to good on crankbaits, plastic worms and spinnerbaits at 10-15 ft. from Alberta Creek to the south. Striped bass hybrids and white bass fair to good on live bait and sassy shad at 10-20 ft. in the river channels. Channel and blue catfish fair to good at 10-15 ft. from Alberta Creek to the north to the Washita River. Crappie fair to good on minnows and tube jigs at 5-10 ft. in Widowmoore, Kansas and Little Glasses creeks. Paddlefish fair below the dam while generating. Wister: February 5. Elevation 13 1/2 ft. above normal and murky. Crappie fair to good on minnows and jigs below the dam. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Catfish fair to good on juglines with cut shad and liver. Report submitted by Randy Fennell, game warden stationed in LeFlore County.

February 5. Elevation 27 ft. below normal. Crappie, striped bass hybrids and walleye being caught at 20 ft. at Hicks Mountain. Report submitted by Sue Hokanson.

Ellsworth: February 5. Elevation 11 1/2 ft. below normal. All fishing slow. Report submitted by Mike Carroll, game warden stationed in Comanche County.

Foss: February 2. Elevation 7 ft. below normal with gates closed, water 40s and clear. Striped bass hybrids good on slabs in deep water near the dam. Walleye fair on live bait. Catfish slow to fair on doughbait. Crappie slow. Report submitted by Eric Puyear, B & K Bait House.

Ft. Cobb: January 4. Elevation 4 ft. below normal, water 45 and clear. Only Sunset Boat Ramp and Lemon Hill still open. Catfish being caught on whole shad White Catfish Cove early nights. Crappie being caught on crappie jigs around marina and boat slips in evenings. Report submitted by Sgt. Kevin Bean, park ranger at Ft. Cobb State Park.

Lawtonka: February 5. Elevation 5 ft. below normal. All fishing slow. Report submitted by Mike Carroll, game warden stationed in Comanche County.
